Transportation Safety Announcement
Luxury Assured Car is unwavering in its commitment to ensuring the safety and health of our clients, especially during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. We remain vigilant and stay up-to-date on the latest rules and regulations issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
According to the CDC’s most recent guidelines, individuals who are fully vaccinated can resume activities without wearing masks or practicing physical distancing in most situations, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance. Therefore, passengers who have been fully vaccinated for two weeks or more are not required to wear masks in our vehicles.
Our dedicated team is implementing additional precautionary measures to enhance our cleanliness practices:
- Drivers will continue to wear masks and will provide extra masks for passengers who may still need them.
- Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes will be available upon request.
- Vehicles will be thoroughly sanitized after each trip, focusing on disinfecting all contact surfaces.
- Physical contact will be minimized, and social distancing will be practiced.
Furthermore, we want to assure our clients that our vehicles are properly licensed and insured. In the state of New York, a properly licensed “for-hire” vehicle will display LIVERY, TLC, or TAXI at the bottom of the actual license plate, indicating compliance with regulations.
It has come to our attention that some operators engage in unacceptable and illegal practices by re-registering their vehicles with regular passenger plates while still providing “for-hire” services. This also applies to independent Uber™ and Lyft™ drivers operating outside the ride-sharing apps, unless they adhere to the conditions mentioned above. Such practices may give the impression of a great deal, but they compromise passenger safety due to improperly insured vehicles.
We urge our clients not to be misled by these practices. The seemingly attractive deals offered by such operators come at the expense of safety. Don’t assume a vehicle is properly licensed and insured until you check the plates. Your safety and that of your loved ones are of paramount importance.
Remember, who you hire matters!
Be safe and healthy out there!
